Welcome to CanSkate

We are excited to get your skater back on the ice!

Here are a few tips to help your skating experience with us be a fun experience.  Once you have completed your daily screening at the front door, head to the rink area and you will find our volunteers at a CanSkate table with your child's name tag on it, and instructions as to what dressing room you are in, it is important that you go your assigned dressing room as the classes after you have different dressing rooms as well, this alleviates congestion in the hallways and dressing rooms.  Once you are ready for your session please go to the assigned entrance and wait for your class to begin.  When your child's class has begun we ask that all parents sit in seating to watch your child's class.  Standing at the side is not recommended as skaters tend to leave their group to chat with their parents, to ensure the best quality lessons please sit in the seating area.  All ice surface doors are to remain closed during the session for your child's safety.   At the end of your CanSkate session, we ask all parents to meet your skater at the exit door. Upon leaving please put your name tag back on the table.  Winter registration is open on the website.

All tags and toys used will be properly sanitized after each session.

If you have a teenager that you know of in need of volunteer hours please let us know as we always can use the extra hands on the ice.

If you have any questions in regards to Pre-CanSkate or CanSkate please email your program coordinator Amanda VanDriel

Our Pre-CanSkate program is designed for our youngest Learn to Skate students. These skaters will follow the CanSkate program and have the opportunity to earn the CanSkate level badges, but will use methods designed specifically for their age. This, combined with lots of great incentives make this a fun way for these 3 and 4 year olds to get going on skates!
